Looking forward: Boro v Bristol City by Megan Weaver.

Published October 19, 2024 By

Bristol City are the first visitors to the Riverside Stadium after the international break which will see the Robins fans start their journey early up to the North East.

Middlesbrough currently sit ninth in the Championship, looking to bounce back from the 2–1 defeat to Watford whereas opponents Bristol City are sitting in sixteenth with three draws in a row- they have not won an away game this season so far.

Boro have not won against City since August 2021 when they secured a 2–1 win with goals coming from Uche Ikpeazu and Matt Crooks.

There will be a minute’s applause before kick-off. Players and staff from both Middlesbrough and Bristol City will wear black armbands following the passing of City boss, Liam Manning’s, son Theo John Manning.

From Megan Weaver.
