Indie favourites James to play Middlesbrough Town Hall

Published March 18, 2025 By

Indie favourites James have announced an exclusive warm-up show at Middlesbrough Town Hall next month.

The band will play the historic venue on Wednesday, April 30 before embarking on a series of major dates across the UK over the summer.

The Middlesbrough show – tickets go on sale this Friday (March 21) - kick-starts a tour including two sold-out dates at the iconic Piece Hall, Halifax and a night at Cardiff Castle with special guests Shed Seven and Jamie Webster.

For early ticket access fans can pre-order Live at the Acropolis https://www.gigsandtours.com/event/james/middlesbrough-town-hall/3379257?pre=artist

Recorded in July, 2023, the album captures the band’s unforgettable performance at the historic Odeon of Herodes Atticus, an open-air amphitheatre beneath the Acropolis in Athens.

James were joined by an eight-piece choir and 22-piece orchestra conducted by Joe Duddell for a powerful set against the backdrop of ancient history.

Live at the Acropolis will be released on Friday 2 May 2.

Middlesbrough Town Hall General Manager Kesia Bruce said: “We’re excited to welcome James back to Middlesbrough Town Hall for their exclusive warm-up show in the build-up to their festival season.

“James always create an electric atmosphere at the Town Hall when they play here, and their dedicated fans travel from far and wide to support their shows, so we can’t wait to welcome them back to Middlesbrough for the first time since 2018.”
