Weekly Drug and Alcohol Help Sessions Announced

By Published November 07, 2018

MIDDLESBROUGH Recovering Together (MRT) are holding weekly drop-in sessions at two Community Hubs for people affected by drug and alcohol issues.

The sessions will take place at Grove Hill Community Hub on Bishopton Road on Fridays from 1.30pm-2.30pm and at Easterside Community Hub on Broughton Avenue on Tuesdays from 1.30pm-2.30pm.

MRT is a free and confidential drug and alcohol treatment and care service for adults and young people.

It offers targeted and specialist help – often on an outreach basis – as well as screening and assessments to make sure all service user’s needs and aspirations are met.

The help on offer comes through groups, support and positive social networks. MRT works in partnership with The Fulcrum Medical Practice (a specialist prescribing service) and Recovery Connections (an abstinence and recovery service) to reduce the amount of harm caused by drug and alcohol misuse, helping individuals to lead healthier, happier lives.
