This year, Armed Forces Day will pay special tribute to the fallen soldiers of World War One, which ended 100 years ago next month.
The day will acknowledge the wider role of the Armed Forces personnel and what they do throughout the UK as well as their involvement in conflict around the globe.
On Saturday, June 23 veterans and current soldiers will join together in the town centre in recognition of both former and current serving men and women.
The commemoration event will take place between Linthorpe Road and Corporation Road from 11am to 4pm.
There will be a special performance by the Doowop Dollies, who will be performing popular war songs from the 1920s, 30s and 40s.
The town centre will also host the Tower Ballroom Dancers and the Apollo Band who will be there to entertain the crowds all day.

The Cleveland Army Cadet Forces will be marching through the town centre with their pipe and drum band.
The entertainment and fun will continue off stage, with two warmly regarded duos gracing the streets throughout the day.
The Tea Ladies are visiting Middlesbrough on their tricycle, while Major ‘Eddy’ Edward Edmund and Lance Corporal Henry ‘Stinker’ Hilary are here to explore the new world.
A special workshop from the Nunthorpe Knitters will pay tribute to the fallen soldiers and civilians of the First World War with a masterclass on how to knit a poppy similar to those in their spectacular display near St Mary’s Church, Nunthorpe.
There will also be arts and crafts workshops for the whole family, delivered by Navigator North.
Other highlights include face painting, a display of vintage vehicles, wall climbing with the army cadets and representatives from the RAF, Navy and Army.
