The Veterans & Armed Forces Community Club has gone from strength to strength since its launch last October.
The informal gatherings take place at Station Suites on Linthorpe Road, with support from The Royal British Legion, Help for Heroes and Middlesbrough Council’s Staying Included Service.
Staying Included officer Linda Ford said: “The turn-outs have been great, and the group just goes from strength to strength.
“We’re grateful to Station Suites for hosting the events and we’ve also had invaluable support from Middlesbrough Football Club - plans are already being drawn up for a summer barbeque and a Christmas party.”
The next meeting of the Veterans & Armed Forces Community Club is this Friday, June 5.
• The Veterans & Armed Forces Community Club meets for bacon butties, tea and coffee from 10am to noon at the Station Suites, 5 Linthorpe Road, TS1 1RE (opposite the train station) on the following dates:
• Friday, July 3
• Friday, August 7
• Friday, September 4
