Knit & Natter Group Celebrates Tenth Birthday

By Published January 17, 2020

A GROUP of fundraising knitters celebrates its tenth anniversary at Acklam Library later this month.

The Knit & Natter Group was launched on January 26, 2010 as a library initiative to bring people together, and has gone from strength to strength.

Now an independent group, they meet every Tuesday at Acklam Library & Community Hub, chatting and knitting for charity.

Over the last 10 years they have raised over £5,000 for local charities, selling hand-knitted baby clothes, dolls and blankets at reasonable prices. Items are sold from the hub throughout the year.

  • If any previous members would like to catch up with the current group, a celebration will take place at the Library on Acklam Road TS5 7AB on Tuesday, January 28 from 2pm to 3pm.
