Open Exhibition - ‘Up The Boro!’ at Gallery TS1

A display of football-inspired Art and Crafts is due to go on sale at a top Middlesbrough Gallery for six weeks from the end of July.

Submitted by local artists, ‘Up The Boro!’ is to be an exciting collection of painting, drawing, textile and photography, showcasing the talents of local artists and craftspeople. The exhibition theme has been chosen to reflect the region’s passion and support of everything football, and will be displayed in this top stimulating and influential local venue, where visitors have the opportunity to meet and chat with the artists.

‘Up The Boro!’ is open to artists from across the region, with work being accepted at the gallery for an entry fee of £5 for up to two artworks and a 30% commission payable on work sold.

An open evening will be taking place between 7 and 9pm on Wednesday, August 9 in celebration of the event, with music provided by Andy Johnson, singer with the critically acclaimed Housemartins tribute act ‘Southmartins.’

Gallery TS1 is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm and admission to the exhibition is free.
