Elected Mayor Chris Cooke will lay the First Poppy at the Cenotaph on Linthorpe Road from 10.45am on Thursday, November 6.
Pupils from local schools have been invited to lay poppy crosses on the Field of Remembrance.
The Remembrance Sunday Parade & Service will be held on Sunday, November 9, also attended by the Mayor and other civic dignitaries.
The parade will start at 10.30am and will march up to The Cenotaph for the service, which will finish around 12.30pm.
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on the Council's Facebook page.
An Armistice Day service will take place at The Cenotaph on Tuesday, November 11 from 10.45am, when a two-minute silence will be held.
The services will be led by Reverend David Goodhew, Vicar of St Barnabas Church in Middlesbrough.
Councillor Linda Lewis, Middlesbrough Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “Remembrance has never been more important and is our acknowledgement of the selfless sacrifice of others to preserve and protect the freedoms we all enjoy today.
“The Poppy Appeal is also a poignant reminder that we owe the survivors of conflicts around the globe our ongoing gratitude and support.
“The people of Middlesbrough always give generously, and I know that tradition will be upheld this year.”
