This year's event takes place at Hemlington Recreation Centre on Saturday, August 10 and is funded by Hemlington Community Council and Thirteen Group and organised by residents and a local councillor.
There will be lots for youngsters to enjoy for free including a bungee run, inflatables and a gladiator joust.
Family entertainment will include face painting and stalls, and there will be plenty of refreshments on offer.
Local ward Councillor Jeanette Walker said: "The Family Gala day is one of the highlights of the year in Hemlington, and a true celebration of community spirit.
"There's always a great turn-out, and I'm sure this year's event will be no exception."
