Organised by the National Landlords Association (NLA) Tees Valley, the Knowledge Network Event is open to any landlords and others interested in becoming a landlord.
The event will be held at the premises of Archers Law LLP, Lakeside House, Kingfisher Way, Stockton, on Thursday 8 November, 6.30-8.30pm. Places are free but must be booked in advance.
Councillor Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and regeneration, explained: “This is a great opportunity for landlords to gain vital knowledge and have any burning questions answered by a panel of local experts.”
The guest speakers will give presentations on a range of topics and then sit as a panel for questions, debate and analysis. They will include representatives from the following:
Archers Law – to analyse and discuss key legal issues relating to the property business.
Waltons Clark Whitehill – to analyse and discuss strategies to mitigate the effect of landlord taxes.
Handelsbanken – will offer advice on gaining mortgage finance and portfolio refinancing.
Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) – will offer advice on how to minimise the impact of Universal Credit.
National Landlords Association (NLA) – to provide an update and discussion on the latest legislation and NLA membership.
