Hemlington's newest arrival isn't your average gym. Packing more than just punches, the Hemlington Boxing Club, which opened its doors last weekend, aspires to be a community game-changer.
Born from the dreams of local residents, the club breathes life into a derelict former community space. Funded by a £15,000 grant from the government's Safer Streets initiative, the revamped gym is already attracting interest and new members with its promise of fitness, friendship, and, who knows, maybe even a world champion.
