Middlesbrough Council has published revised budget plans for 2024/25, incorporating feedback from the community's largest consultation in five years.

Hemlington's newest arrival isn't your average gym. Packing more than just punches, the Hemlington Boxing Club, which opened its doors last weekend, aspires to be a community game-changer.

Born from the dreams of local residents, the club breathes life into a derelict former community space. Funded by a £15,000 grant from the government's Safer Streets initiative, the revamped gym is already attracting interest and new members with its promise of fitness, friendship, and, who knows, maybe even a world champion.
