MIDDLESBROUGH’S Central Library is to host a meet the author event with writer Laura Steven.

The lead monster and driving energy of the group, Marvin’s bombastic and unpredictable nature makes him the face of the Ghost Hosts crew!

Loud, impulsive, and always eager for a scare, Marvin combines a mischievous monster persona with a big-hearted nature, making him more lovable than terrifying. His endless energy and quick-to-scare attitude set the show's high-octane tone.

Marvin is the cuddly "big brother” of the gang, clashing a little with uptight Skiff Skelton, but otherwise serving as an anchor for the whole. His reckless antics sometimes tire Lord Blackstone, but he values him as an excellent scarer.

"*Muahahahahahhh!* Prepare for a Scare!" - Mad Monster Marvin

The arrogant warrior skeleton, Skiff is quick to defend his own self-importance and asserts himself with a chip on his bony shoulder.

The only thing this wicked wight believes in as much as his own talent is the public's lack of taste - why isn't he running the whole show by himself?!

Skiff’s irritation with his perceived lack of respect and his ambitious, prickly personality make him an often hilarious, if hostile, character. He carries a warrior’s pride and looks down on his teammates’ theatrics, preferring a more direct, aggressive approach.

Boney old Skelton is always starting arguments with the other hosts - he's annoyed by Marvin’s carefree nature and finds Gaunt’s moping grating, and only begrudgingly respects Count Grigori’s skillful scheming. Skiff sees himself as Lord Blackstone’s “second-in-command,” but this is barely reciprocated.

"Sit yourself TIGHT and PREPARE for a FRIGHT!!!" - Skiff Skelton

The true ghost of the Ghost Hosts, Gaunt is all about the traditional haunt, delivering a spooky but sorrowful presence.

As a moody spirit with a penchant for melancholy dramatics, Gaunt’s emotional depth and classic ghost look contrast with the chaotic vibe of the others. His eerie, drawn-out wails and penchant for vanishing add a ghostly theatricality.

His somberness sometimes threatens to bring the mood down, but his friends tend to cheer him up. His mournful act is rightly seen as essential to the group’s spooky aesthetic.

"OOOoooOOOhOOOhhoooH..... OwowowOOOOOOHhooohhh...." - Gaunt Van Haunt
