Fishburn Park lost the final unbeaten record in the North Riding Football League Premier Division as Stockton West End produced another superb defensive display in a 3-0 victory. Park, who would have gone top with a win, stay third after Karl Williams notched twice and Jake Large once for West End.
The only other top tier clash saw Redcar Newmarket end a barren run to go within three points of leaders Boro Rangers, in fourth. A five goal thriller saw Dean Jones and Darren Roulston net for hosts Grangetown Boys Club, but Michael Dowse's brace and Andy Tullock's goal made it 3-2 Newmarket.
In the First Division, Great Ayton United Royals won the battle of the chasing pack to stay within four points of leaders Redcar Athletic Reserves, with two games in hand. Jamie Edwards opened the scoring for Royals inside five minutes and when Ashley Woodier doubled their advantage on fifteen, it was looking comfortable. However, Bedale rallied and pulled one back through David Cooke, though it wasn't enough in a match where Dale could and maybe should have secured a point, after ending the game strongly.
Redcar kept their lead at the top intact after a 4-0 victory at Loftus Athletic. Alex Anderson, McCorie Carmichael, James Ascoughs and Marcus Wood did the damage in another impressive display from the early pacesetters.
New Marske Lakes United came from behind to defeat Whitby Fishermens, at Lythe, after Jord Purvis had fired home for Mark Storr's men. Kieran Stares and Robbie Farrier both netted in the second half to turn the match on its head for the visitors, who go fourth. Elsewhere, Lingdale Village kept up their good recent form with a 3-0 success at Stokesley Armstrong Richardson. Rob Bennet, Steven Combellack and Alex Johnson provided the goals.
In the North Riding County Cup, Redcar Town staged a fine comeback to defeat fellow Premier outfit Guisborough United, 4-2. Liam Cooper and Lewis Reeve powered United into a 2-0 lead, inside half an hour. However, Town fought back with Ryan Bennions quickly making it 2-1, before the break. The second half saw Jordan McDonald level matters, just before the hour, with Stu Poulter putting the title chasers ahead, with 14 minutes remaining. Bennions' second ensured the visitors' progress.
The other clash with North Riding Football League interest was another all-Premier tie as Carl Flatters put Staithes Athletic ahead ten minutes before half-time. However, Jordan Morgan levelled two minutes from the end, for visitors BEADS, to force penalties. The Middlesbrough side kept their nerve to win 4-2 from the resulting shoot-out.
Unfortunately, the scheduled FA Inter League clash between the North Riding League Representative side and the Cumberland County League was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Workington's Borough Park.
In the Under 19s division, on Sunday, both the top two enjoyed four-goal victories and remain level on points.
Leaders Guisborough United defeated Kader 6-2. The visitors netted through Rob Clark and Adam Campbell, but strikes from Kyle Tranter, with two, a further brace from Louis Benoit and additional goals from Joseph Morley and Owen Armstrong saw the Priorymen home.
Second-placed Boro Rangers also have seven wins in seven following their 4-0 success at Northallerton Town. In-form Isaac Walker notched a hat-trick, with Ollie Henderson also on target, ensuring Rangers trail only by goal difference.
Thornaby stay third, meanwhile, after putting Pools Youth to the sword, 7-0. Joe Pickett scored twice and Sam Candlin added a third, but it was a second half show that really opened up Pools. Substitutes Dylan Barker and Tyler Hersi managed a further two strikes each to put an emphatic slant on the final score.
Billingham Synthonia were the big scorers of the weekend, climbing three places after a 12-3 victory over struggling Middleton Rangers. Matty Ashworth fired four, while Ryan Nicholson also netted a hat-trick. Callum Daniels and Jordan Birdsall blasted braces, while Reece Whelpton also notched for Synners. Zac Taylor netted all three Rangers goals.
Coulby Newham enjoyed a 7-3 win over Redcar Newmarket, but went one down after only four minutes. It took 20 minutes for Alex Clark to level the scores, then just before the break, Clark struck again to turn the match on its head at 2-1 Coulby, at half-time. However Newmarket levelled within a minute of the restart. This spurred Coulby on and with Clark bagging another three for a five-goal tally and further strikes from Joseph Searby and Dylon Marshall with Redcar adding another it ended up a convincing 3-7 win for Coulby Newham. Redcar's scorers were Will Moore, Leon Bellerby and Morgan Corner.
Richmond were also comfortable victors, as they hit Hartlepool FC for eight. Tom Fox netted twice, despite coming off the bench, with fellow substitute Joe Ramsay also hitting the target. The remaining six goals for the hosts were spread between midfield and attack, with Joe Shields, Gary Walker, Nathan Simpson, Simeon Cromarty and Ben Ruddock all scoring. Adam Scott's brace provided some consolation for the visitors.

North Riding Football League Tables
Boro Rangers are up to second spot in the North Riding Football League Premier Division after a shock 7-1 demolition of previously-unbeaten Redcar Newmarket. There were braces for Matty McQueeney and Curtis Dryden, plus additional strikes from Coy Blake, Jamie Bellamy and Joe Woods. Jamie Graham replied for Newmarket.
Bedale won the battle of the top two in Division One, a 12-goal thriller, as Dale triumphed 8-4, after going four up in half an hour. Dan Baxter fired four, Michael Stevens, David Cooke, Chris Hope and Matthew Goodwin completed the hosts' scoring. League leaders Redcar Athletic Reserves replied through Aaron Dale (2), Marcus Wood's penalty and Alex Anderson's goal.
In the MacMillan Bowl, Premier Division leaders Redcar Town rattled in eleven against First Division bottom club Middlesbrough & Teesside Sports Academy. Clark Reader fired five, with Stu Poulter hammering a hat-trick. Ryan Maltby, Ben Sandie and Andrew Porritt also netted.
Another Premier v First Division clash failed to see an upset as St Marys 1947 defeated Lingdale Village 3-1. Paul Vaughan scored twice with Chris Peacock adding the third, Lingdale responded through Ste Combellack.
Billingham Town Reserves also benefited from their higher status, but it was only a narrow victory at Great Ayton United Royals. Ben Beilby had put Ayton ahead, but goals from Luke Larkin, either side of the break, won it for the visiting side.
Staithes enjoyed their first victory of the season against fellow Premier strugglers Yarm & Eaglescliffe. Connor Hood opened the scoring for the seaside outfit around the half hour, only for Harry Noble to equalise from the penalty spot, on 67 minutes. Carl Flatters then put Staithes back ahead with a spot kick of his own, before Jake Thompson wrapped it up, five minutes later, for the villagers.
In an all second-tier affair, Stokesley Reserves won 3-2 against Loftus Athletic. Dan Caney, James Dowson and Jordan Sherwood notched for the victors, while Jordan Rowe scored twice for Athletic.
BEADS won a 12-goal all-Premier clash at Nunthorpe Athletic. Tom Atkinson's treble continued his great form for the hosts, but BEADS powered home thanks to an amazing double hat-trick from Michael Shellard, Karl Liley's double and a ninth from Nathan Summersgill.
Another all-top-tier encounter saw Thornaby Dubliners enjoy a 4-0 victory against Guisborough United, with Anton Buchanan netting a hat-trick and Matthew Parry also on target.
Fishburn Park and Grangetown progressed with walkover wins at the expense of Teesside University and Stokesley Armstrong Richardson respectively, who were both unable to raise a team.
In Sunday's Under 19 action, Guisborough stay top after a 6-0 thumping of Redcar Newmarket. The free-scoring Priorymen notched through Louis Benoit's hat-trick and further strikes from Joseph Morley, Owen Armstrong and Cameron Park.
Boro Rangers, in second, are the only other 100% side in the division as they beat Coulby Newham by a single goal. Ollie Henderson scored midway through the first half with an audacious effort from distance.
Kader are third after being held 2-2 by Richmond Town. Adam Campbell and Ryan Blades netted for the hosts, who had the better of the first half, with Richmond indebted to goalkeeper Mark Walker for keeping them in the game. However, after the interval, Town had the better of it. Their goals came through Tom Carnegie-Brown and Danny Weatherall.
Fourth-placed Thornaby did their goal difference a world of good with the biggest win in all three divisions, this season. Bottom club Middleton Rangers were swept aside 16-0 as Joe Pickett fired five, Dylan Barker four and Will Hutchinson also helped himself to a hat-trick. Lewis Heap, Kieran Mulroy, Tom Dobbs and Ethan Ward also found the net.
Second-bottom Hartlepool FC also remain winless after a 4-0 reverse at home to Billingham Synthonia. Synners' scorers were hat-trick hero Matty Ashworth and Connor Mulloy.
Finally, Northallerton Town enjoyed a 3-1 home victory against the other Hartlepool side, Pools Youth. Joe Vickers, Sam Tosh and Jack Stapley netted for Northallerton, with Ben Forsyth pulling one back for Pools.
