Bin Collection Changes in Queen's Platinum Jubilee Week

Published May 24, 2022 By

Middlesbrough residents are being reminded about changes to bin collection days during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee week.

Crews will be working Monday to Thursday during the week beginning Monday, May 30, with all collections moving forward by one day.

For example, a household with a normal collection on a Tuesday will move to Monday, with no collections at all on Friday, June 3.

Any missed collections will not be picked up until the following week.

Councillor Barrie Cooper, Middlesbrough Council’s Executive member for Environment, said: “Plans are in full swing in the run-up to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, and I’m sure everyone’s looking forward to the extra bank holiday.

“Our bin collection crews have to work around that, so I’d urge everyone to check the online calendar, and remember their collection day will move forward on day in the week from Monday, May 30.

“As ever we’ll do our utmost to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum, and I’m grateful to residents for their understanding and support.”
