A Middlesbrough Council employee who narrowly escaped death due to his smoking habit has been chosen as the face of a regional campaign to help others quit. 

Businesses have been warned they face tough action after a string of Middlesbrough stores illegally sold corrosive substances to a teenager.

More untaxed and potentially dangerous cars have been removed from Middlesbrough streets. 

The soon-to-be-published Tees-wide Perpetration Strategy will make sure domestic abuse perpetrators are held to account for violence and abuse committed against women and girls (VAWG).
