MIDDLESBROUGH Council hopes to be a "force for social good" by helping to feed children who qualify for free school meals next week.

As children begin to return to schools across the UK, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is reminding working parents they could save up to £2,000 per child per year to pay towards after-school clubs and other childcare services.

FOOTBALL sessions are keeping community spirit alive and kicking in central Middlesbrough.

A HUGE congratulations is being said to everyone who joined in the Middlesbrough Midsummer Challenges with 30 days of fun, reading related activities.
