Middlesbrough's Mela Returns this Weekend

MIDDLESBROUGH Mela is back with a bang this weekend in Albert Park with a thrilling mix of traditional Asian artists, dance acts, family fun and a brand new alternative stage!

The 2019 Mela weekend kicks off on Saturday with an epic opening parade featuring a diverse mix of music, dance, colourful costumes and circus performers to life size puppets and jammin' beats.

The Main Stage has an incredible weekend line-up with acts such as Leddie MC, Komparrison and Navin Kundra. Award winning Dutch-Pakistani singer songwriter Imran Khan will headline with his epic hits and electric performance style.

Sunday will play host to the CBeebies mega star Mr Bloom as he takes to the stage with his fun-filled one man show, sure to be a firm favourite for all the family

Festival goers will also be treated to an array of mouth-watering food stalls showcasing a whole host of cuisines from across the globe.

Unearth a treasure trove of fabrics, jewellery and creative gifts in the bazaar, take in a circus performance or seek out a thrill at the fun fair!
