Arch North East Presents Out of the Shadows

By Published November 15, 2017

Arch North East is teaming up with Teesside University, to present an eclectic feast of music.

Out of the Shadows will take place in The Hub of Teesside University’s renowned Student Union on Friday 24th November and promises to supply revellers with their required dose of live music, featuring acts from around the region. The event aims to create awareness of and fundraise for the charity.

ARCH North East is a registered charity based in Teesside, offering free and confidential support to those who have been affected by rape or sexual violence. Arch has helped thousands of people throughout the region, and needs your support to continue helping others. Their contributions and support to survivors of sexual violence has been recognised nationally. In September, Barbara Pawson, a member of Arch’s team won a National award for her support of survivors through the criminal justice system.

The charity event has rallied support from some of the most standout artists to grace the North East music scene and promises a unique acoustic surprise at the beginning of the evening too, which is sure to create an air of anticipation.

The bands taking to the stage are Hartlepool’s The Jar Family, Billingham’s Mouses, Stockton’s Head of Light Entertainment, and Newcastle’s Talk like Tigers. These four North East acts boast a wide variety of genres between them, from lo-fi to industrial folk, and have all gained widespread support from various UK based radio stations including BBC Tees.

Arch invites all members of the public to enjoy the event, as well as support a good cause- it’ll be an evening to remember.

All tickets purchased will include entry into the University’s Hub Night Club, so the music doesn’t have to stop when the gig does.
