Five Gift Ideas from Middlesbrough Independents for Christmas

By Published December 10, 2020

We've pulled together our top five Christmas gift ideas from some of Middlesbrough's independent businesses.

A tipple or two

Cocktail fans can rejoice as Nuthatch are delivering cocktails direct to your door every weekend ahead of Christmas.

It could be a great early gift for a lucky recipient, after all, who doesn't want to open their front door to a cocktail or two.

If beer is more their thing, Bier and Beer on Albert Road are offering festive hampers.

They've teamed up with local breweries to offer a selection of craft beers in two different sized hampers.

A medium hamper costs £11 and includes 3 x 500ml bottles and a large hamper includes 6 x 500ml bottles costing £20.

Unique treats and trinkets

Family-run business Concept, based on Linthorpe Road, have a new collection of real amber and sterling silver jewellery as well as an Aladdin's cave of accessories and trinkets - perfect for stocking fillers.

Proper coffee

Coffee lovers are in for a treat with Rounton Coffee's gift sets and a special festive blend that will have you brewing up the perfect coffee in no time.

The local team behind Bedford Street Coffee and The Corner café pride themselves on ethically sourced produce and they even gained a fan in Radio 1's Greg James during the Big Weekend.

A New Year health kick

It's never too early to start thinking about your New Year's resolution.

Ananda Wellbeing yoga and wellness studio on Albert Road are running online yoga sessions for just £3.50 on various days of the week and you can purchase sessions as a gift for loved ones.

You can also get 25 days of free self-care advice this December by signing up to their mailing list.

A good pamper

Get hair like Kim Kardashian with the Olaplex gift set from Gallaghers hairdressers on Baker Street. Apparently the American reality star is a fan of the brand and the gift set includes all you need to get tresses in tip top condition for all those Christmas party video calls.

The sets are usually priced at £150 but are on offer exclusively at Gallaghers for just £136 up until Christmas, plus with every purchase you will get a free intensive hair treatment worth £25 that can be added to a future appointment in the salon.

You can find out more about all of the gift ideas above by contacting the businesses direct or visit their social media pages.

In addition to these top festive picks, www.buyboro.co.uk lists a range of independent businesses and services in Middlesbrough from restaurants and cafes, to jewellers, dry cleaners and car services that all really need the support of the public ahead of Christmas.
