First and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available to people aged 18 and over – second doses will only be given to people who had their first Pfizer dose at least 8 weeks ago. 

NON-CLINICAL staff at The James Cook University Hospital have swapped their office attire for scrubs in a bid to enhance patient experience and mental wellbeing.

The current COVID infection rate has increased dramatically to 216 per 100,000.

Middlesbrough Council, the NHS, and CVFM Radio are encouraging people to remember the basics of social distancing and wearing face coverings when required.

Anyone with symptoms should book a test by calling 119 or by visiting www.nhs.uk/coronavirus.

Separately, regular free tests are available to all adults. The lateral flow tests can help to identify positive cases when people aren’t displaying symptoms. Details of how to access the tests are available via www.middlesbrough.gov.uk/lfd-test.
