A TEESSIDE man is recounting a harrowing experience of how he was on the verge of losing his eyesight forever if not for the NHS and thanking them for their outstanding care. 

“REALLY, you’re smoking in our hospital sites?” - Is the new campaign slogan adopted by a hospital’s smokefree team as they set out to encourage people not to smoke on hospital sites and to be more considerate. 

“MY mum saved two lives through organ donation” is the poignant message from NHS worker Helen Wilson, who is urging everyone to register their decision on the NHS Organ Donor register. 

A SERVICE that has been at the forefront of helping thousands of patients quit smoking and improve their health across hospitals is celebrating its third anniversary.
