The annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ identity, music and community will light up the town centre on Saturday, September 27.
And this year’s event be made even more unforgettable for one lucky couple – as it will also be their wedding day.
Curious Arts - the Hartlepool-based charity behind Pride in Tees Valley - is offering a couple the chance to get married on the day, free of charge, right in the heart of the festivities.
The lucky pair will receive their wedding ceremony room hire completely free of charge thanks to in-kind support from Pride in Tees Valley and partners.
The ceremony will take place at 1.30pm, followed by photo opportunities on the main stage and with headlining performers, plus a professional wedding photo package courtesy of the event’s official photographer.
Curious Arts Creative Producer Adam Strickland said: “We’re thrilled to be offering a wedding as part of Middlesbrough Pride this year.
“Pride is about celebrating love, identity and community and what better way to honour that than by supporting a couple to say ‘I do’ in front of their chosen family and community."
“It’s going to be a beautiful, powerful moment.”
Organisers are now inviting LGBTQIA+ and ally couples who are interested in tying the knot at Pride to come forward and express their interest.
Applications are open now and will close on Monday, July 28 - visit Pride in Tees Valley on social media or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
The wedding is just one part of what promises to be a stand-out event in the Tees Valley calendar.
